Alumni Initiate Serves as Dean in the COB at Troy
 Dr. Judson Edwards (Theta Alpha #123) is dean of the Sorrell College of Business at Troy University. This is a post he has served since May 2010.
According to the Press Release: "Dr. Edwards has been an associate professor of economics and director of the University’s Center of International Business and Economic Development since joining TROY in 2006. An undergraduate alumnus of TROY, Dr. Edwards earned a master of science in economic development and a doctorate in international development from The University of Southern Mississippi. Outside of academia, Dr. Edwards serves on the board of The Council for Community and Economic Research and is a member of the Agriculture Advisory Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Dr. Edwards has on-going business consultations with various local, state and regional governments and private industry. He holds national certification as an Economic Development Finance Professional.
“Keeping our educational philosophy centered on the ‘real world’ of business, gives us the ability to make significant contributions in the communities we serve,” he said about the Troy school."

Josh Ashley's Wedding
 Congratulations are in order to Josh Ashley who married Lindsey Killingsworth on Saturday, November 5th.
Andrew Brown and Sam Muller Accepted to Med School
Congratulations are in order to both Andrew Brown and Sam Muller whom were accepted into Med School. Andrew will be attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson while Sam will be attending LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Well done on this achievement brothers, now I imagine the hard work really begins.
Update on Charlie Pettis from Brant
New Update: Brant and his family are reporting in at the hospital at 6 a.m this morning, and Charlie's surgery is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thank you for lifting Charlie up in your prayers.
Also on the news front, Brooks Werkheiser and his family will soon have an addition as his wife is expecting their second. So congrats to them.
Andy's Deployment
 Andy Ratcliff has just left for his second tour in the Middle East so keep him and his family in your thougts & prayers. This should prompt us to remember and express gratitude to and for our brothers, friends and family in the military. Thanks so much.

Bradley Charlesworth & David Meigs...Running a Marathon for Push and the Wounded Warrior Project
 Bradley Charlesworth and David Meigs will be running the Marine Corp Marathon for the second time in October as part of the Push America Challenge Team. In addition to their training regimine, Bradley & David are raising money for Push America and the Wounded Warrior Project. Show your support by making a tax-deductible contribution for Bradley and for David.
Charlie Pettis was born to parents Brant (Theta Alpha #34) and wife Paula on September 7th.
Also, Rad and Jennifer Lang welcomed daughter Ann Marie in July. Sonny and Jennifer Woodard are expecting their third child in December and Jason and Jennifer Skrmetti are expecting their first child in January.
We wish these brothers and their spouses good health and well-being. We hope they can stock up on sleep now.
Congratulations are in order to Brennen and Breanne Hancock who were married in August. They are at home in Jackson where Brennen is finishing his MBA.
Kudos are in order to Brother Ryan Kelly who was appointed to be the Executive Director of the Mississippi Rural Health Association. He will continue his role with the Southern Miss College of Health, but will expand to include both positions with some additional administrative support. Way to go Ryan.
Lastly, several brothers are starting, continuing and finishing advanced degrees at some prestigous schools like Duke Law (Mark Hamrick, Paul Supoto, and Justin Roland) and the University of Denver Architecture (Seth Willison). So to all the brothers pursing advanced degrees, good luck, thanks for making Theta Alpha proud, and we hope everything goes well.
